2025 – October Business Meeting
Proposal 1: Tradition 7 Notice and Letter
Proposal 2: Treasurer Position Description
Welcome
Greetings, and welcome to the October 2025 Business Meeting of Grateful Recovering Online Women (GROW). I am Mary O, a recovering alcoholic, and your Business Chair for this meeting. Thank you for participating!
This is a closed meeting, open only to members of GROW, for the discussion of business as it relates to our group. Our business meetings run in four-day segments and last no more than 29 days.
I will post each Agenda item, one by one, in separate emails and **ask that you respond to each accordingly.** This makes it easier to “tally” the responses and suggestions to each item. We will have a four (4) day period of open discussion on each Agenda item. This, hopefully, will allow all members regardless of work schedules, time zones, etc. to participate and comment. At the beginning of the 5th day, I will post the results/consensus of our discussions.
Before we begin, let’s have a moment of silence to reflect on why we are here, followed by the Serenity Prayer.
Thank you all for attending the business meeting
Mary O
GROW B. Chair
Proposal 1: Tradition 7 Notice and Letter
The Treasurer will send an announcement to Grow regarding 7th Tradition contributions twice each week leading up to the change-over to Homegroup.online.
Rationale: By group conscience decision, Grow will be changing to a new platform for collecting 7th Tradition Contributions. The proposed announcement will inform GROW members about this change and give them access to the new platform, (Homegroup.online/grow), in advance of the transition it should streamline the process and keep disruptions to a minimum.
Proposed Language for Announcement explaining change-over to Homegroup.online:
Greetings Ladies, Per Group Conscience at our April Business Meeting, Grow will transition to Homegroup.online to handle our 7 Tradition contributions. Between now and November 29th we will continue to accept contributions via our usual methods. On November 30, 2025, we will fully transition to homegroup.online/grow. At that time the “Passing the Basket” letter will reflect the new contribution information.
Homegroup.online is designed by and for AA members to support AA groups online. It offers easy contribution links to multiple payment options, making it simpler for Grow members to contribute.
Moving to Homegroup.online separates group funds from a Treasurer’s personal finances. It will also streamline the process of changing to a new Treasurer.
How it works:
Log into the website Homegroup.online/grow. This will take you directly to the GROW dedicated “Contribute” page that offers the following ways to make your contribution:
- Debit/Credit Card
- Google Pay
- Apple Pay
- Cash App
- Venmo
- Zelle
- Bill Pay/Check
- Paypal
Each link shows any fees that will be deducted from your contribution. Zelle and Bill Pay/check are both free of any charges. Click on the appropriate link that includes instructions and make your contribution.
Most options will send your contribution directly to GROW; however, Venmo, Zelle, and Bill/Pay require you to enter “GROW” in the note section. If you do not enter “GROW,” your contribution will be credited to the Homegroup.online Central Office instead of to Grow. Once entered, your contribution choice cannot be changed, and refunds are not available.
I encourage you to log into the Homegroup.online website and familiarize yourself with the various contribution links. If, after looking at the website, you have any questions please contact me at cab7thtradition@gmail.com.
Respectfully,
Cheryl Baughman
