April 15th, by God’s grace, I celebrated 16 years of continuous sobriety…if you told me 16 years ago I’d be living a sober and happy life, I would not have believed you. But, today my life is 85% happy, joyous and free. Free from chaos, resentments and fear…my life has purpose and direction. Not so when I wasn’t sober. Believe me, life is not perfect, “along with the sunshine, there’s got to be a little rain sometimes”. That’s when I know it’s time to grow, I use the tools of this program, my sponsor, my sober network, and the God of my own understanding. I’m not alone! I’m so grateful to be sober and I thank you all for being on this journey with me shoulder to shoulder!
