Proposal 2: Updated Description of the Treasurer’s Position

  • Must have been a GROW member for at least two years
  • Must be a member of the Business List
  • Serves on the Steering Committee
  • Maintains the Homegroup.online/GROW account
  • Ensures that the Webkeeper has access to the account to allow access in case of an emergency
  • Sends weekly “Passing the Basket” announcements to the group using the approved 7th Tradition Announcement Template
  • Pays all group expenses as outlined below and maintains a Prudent Reserve of $200
    Expenses and distribution of funds include:

    • Making bi-annual contributions before the GROW Business Meetings to GSO and OIAA, allocating 80% to GSO and 20% to OIAA from available funds after expenses are paid
    • Paying $24 per month to deancollins@insightplanners.com
    • Paying a $50 annual subscription to Grapevine Magazine
    • Allocating up to $300 per year to Dean Collins dba Insight Planners or other individuals for consulting services related to GROW’s WordPress-based website
  • Submits semi-annual reports prior to each Business Meeting
  • Fulfills the common duties and requirements for all Trusted Servant positions as described in the group documents
  • Uses the standard wording for the “Passing the Basket” letter, which is provided in the group’s resource link

Results
All members voted yes on the updated description of treasurer; therefore, Proposal 2 is adopted as a group conscience decision.
